Giro d'Italia. A Farrar la tappa, Ad Evans la maglia rosa

Tyler Farrar vince la seconda tappa olandese del Giro d'Italia, da Amsterdam ad Utrecht, battendo allo sprint Goss (Columbia) e Sabatini (Liquigas). Era la prima tappa in linea del Giro 2010. Era una tappa per velocisti. E' stata una tappa di cadute che hanno coinvolto tra gli altri anche la maglia rosa Bradley Wiggins che alla fine ha perso ilsimbolo del primato a favore dell'iridato Cadel Evans. E' stata gara dura fin dal mattino con una fuga di quattro corridori (Pirazzi, Facci, Voss e Flens) ripresa a 20 km dall'arrivo. Come detto tantissime le cadute soprattutto verso la fine della tappa. Anche il vincitore Farrar rimane coinvolto in una di esse ma riesce a rientrare e, aiutato dal treno della Garmin, a conquistare il successo di tappa con uno sprint perfetto. Petacchi, il velocista italiano più forte, rimane attardato e chiude al quinto posto. La novità di giornata è la maglia rosa sulle spalle di Cadel Evans. Il corridore australiano rimane concentrato e approfitta della caduta del leader di clsassifica e vincitore della tappa di ieri Wiggins, per sfilargli il simbolo del primato. Domani ultima tappa olandese, 224 km da Amsterdam a Middelburg. Il percorso sarà pianeggiante, quindi si attende un arrivo in volata. Poi la carovana rosa farà ritorno sulle strade italiane.

It was the first stage for the sprinters in the Giro 2010. It was a stage of falls involving the pink t-shirt Bradley Wiggins too. It was hard race already in the morning with a flight of four riders (Pirazzi, Facci, Voss and Flens) taken at 20 km from the arrival. As said many falls, especially towards the end of the stage. Farrar also, the winner, gets involved in one of them but he can return and, aided by Garmin's train, wins the stage with a perfect sprint. Petacchi, the strongest italian sprinter, closes fifth. The news of the day is the pink t-shirt on the shoulders of Cadel Evans. The Australian rider stays focused and takes advantage of the fall of  Wiggins, to take away the symbol of supremacy. Tomorrow last stage in Netherlands, 224 km from Amsterdam to Middelburg. The path is flat, then we wait for a final rush. After tomorrow the pink caravan will return on italian roads.
